Poe

I'm the type of person that enjoys poetry but doesn't read it too often. The only poets that come to my mind are Poe and Suess. Suess' style is beyond perplexing so I am going to write a poem like Poe would. Poe lived a very dark and sad life which was a muse for his literature. Both in stories and in poems. He saw his mother die at an early age and he had many drug abuse problems. His thirteen year old cousin/wife died early on as well. Each poem has a particular rhyme scheme but there is no corralation between them.

Oh what a deathly scare I have endured!
Sickening deeply, and corrupting completely!
Now watch out for this evil glare!
For it is no other than, the lonely eyed stare!

The black eyed stare comes from a misanthropic witch!
Haunting hair, crescent colored skin and missing two eyes!
It won't be long before you smell it nearing in the air!
For it is no other than, the lonely eyed stare!

She lives deep in a cave with no one around!
Deep, Dark and Dank without a another soul!
You better watch out before midnight is here!
For it is no other than, the only eyed stare!

The lonely eyed stare will kill you in a snap!
It freezed your blood, you'll snap in half!
Now hide wuickly children i can see the sorceress right over there!
For it is no other than, the loney eyed stare!

Who would have thought that she could kill herself?
She looked in the mirror and fell down!
But not withotu yelling, "Oh my! This isn't fair!"
Now we don't have to worry, about the lonely eyed stare!
